We started to create this garden in 2013. The owners of the site didn't plane the Japanese garden, they wanted us only to made some changes to the plot where were planted fruit trees and berry bushes.
Since along the fence already planted thuya, we decided to strengthen the regularity of the garden, adding to it the thuya hedges, as well as curbs of the cotoneaster and spiraea Golden Princess. Fruit trees tend to bloom in late spring. To make the garden interesting in the autumn time, we planted there Euonymus alatus. We proposed to expand the path and put the lights.
In 2016, the owners of the garden went to Japan, and this country made such a big impression on them that they wanted to do something in Japanese style in the garden. We offered to create a pond with hills. For this idea we choosed the place next to the gazebo.
Almost all the soil from the pond was used for hills. We planted on the hills pines, buckthorn Asphenifolia, Japanese spirea and sedum.
Next to the gazebo there is a small flower garden, where the main tone is given by perennials with long xiphoid leaves, which are best suited for the water area: daylilies and lyatrisy. To combine the front part with a hill in the background, we added groups of Japanese spirea.
The corner behind the pavilion was rather poorly lit by the sun. But the buckthorn Asplenifolia feel really good there!
The pond and the hills are clearly visible from the house, next to which there is the swimming pool.
To the right of the pool we made another hill, which connects both parts.
It will look especially beautiful during the flowering of Japanese azaleas.
The Japanese part is separated from the other garden by a hedge of tui and by three big pine trees, which we began to form this year.
